@KingDudley_XBOX I think games are announced and given release dates far too early nowadays (though has been happening for a while). I get drumming up support for a game, but when it's announced so early in development I imagine it causes a lot of stress and crunch culture, or corners are cut. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@danno_omen@DONTNOD_Ent@Focus_entmt I wish! Too many good games man, and I'm still trying to catch up with last year! Nearly finished Lies of P at last. Then HAVE to play Silent Hill: Short Message. Then go back and finish Robocop. And by then Hellblade 2 will probs be out! ๐
@danno_omen I ignore reviews for the most part regardless if it's AAA or AA or Indie. I've been playing games long enough to know what I like. I might read a review or 2 if I'm on the fence, but even then it's an extremely rough guide and doesn't matter much.
@danno_omen Many on the go. Usually a few different tyoes of game though. Like a nain story game, a cozy single player, and a game I play with friends. Though sometimes I have multiple stories! ๐
@Xbox Definitely xboxes. But can you imagine if we gathered all the boxes of xboxes in one place? That would be a lot of boxes of xboxes. Maybe stack 100 boxes of xboxes in one big box, so there'd be lots of boxes of boxes of xboxes.
@danno_omen I dunno mate, when you factor in the reveal trailers, and the early vertical slives to have something to show in the various shows, plus whatever viral marketing techniques are going to be employed, I reckon it might add up quicker than you think? ๐คทโโ๏ธ. But this is jist theory.
@danno_omen Which woukd then put pressure on developers to put the game out quickly to make the money back, leading to both crunch and games being released unfinished. Which then leads to backlash and poor reception. Which leads to lack of trust in a developer, and less games sold.
@danno_omen See I'm no expert or analyst. But I personally think announcing the games too early has to be contributing to a lot of the issues in the industry? I imagine you rack up quite an advertising budget with that much advertising going on........
@danno_omen Having just finished the ABSURDLY EXCELLENT Bramble yesterday (seriously, go play it, specially if you like games like Limbo), I think I'm gonna give Stray a crack.
