In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, some companies are granting hazard pay to their workers. Meanwhile others... just want to throw pennies at the workers risking their health and the health of their families. Some offer nothing. Is this fair? FUCK NO!
@WalgreensFuck@Walgreens Oh, I don't believe anything coming out of corporate. I'm hearing some very interesting things that still make W a terrible company that does not care for its employees.
#Walgreens is NOT the corner of happy and healthy. Up until the CDC said so, they discouraged employees from wearing protective gear.
Walgreens is the corner of disease and misery. Employees have tested positive for Covid-19.
This why they deserve #hazardpay . No excuses.
NEEDS. TO. HAPPEN.
As long as no one is forcing them, these greedy corporations - that earn billions of dollars every year - they will never feel compelled to grant workers hazard pay.

@WalgreensFuck I was informed they would - only because the CDC just recently said so. Some counties are ordering residents to wear them, which includes essential workers. The plexiglass shields W employees are getting are a fucking joke though.
Taken from Reddit, I cut off the username to protect the OP.
The "solution" #Walgreens is offering is a meager bonus, they get to wear jeans, two discount days.
Employees is some states have tested positive for Covid-19, and that's all they get, WTF?? #HazardPayNow
Please don't ignore the pleas to distance. Being young and healthy doesn't exempt anyone from CV, you could have the virus and not show symptoms. This isn't just about one individual, it's about the safety of those around you. Think of the people you love.

COVID outbreaks are happening in Amazon warehouses in NYC & across the country.
It’s more important than ever to fight for essential workers’ rights incl. hazard pay, paid leave, & COVID-safe workplace conditions.
That means delivery drivers, too. https://t.co/LucZErQ7Lg

If your work is not doing anything to protect you during this pandemic, I'm pretty sure that could be reported to OSHA. Will update when I have more information.
@Marty_Marty61@Change That's terrible! I'm so sorry this is how you're being treated! You deserve better, you're a human being and far more important than what these greedy corporations give us credit for.
That so-called "bonus" is not enough. $300 in late April when people rent is coming up for many? Kids to feed? Bills to pay? FUCK THAT! #walgreens

And there will be more. I hope #Walgreens and #CVS will understand why their "bonuses" are a fucking JOKE. Employees deserve better, while exposing themselves like this. #HazardPayNOW

It's time we hold companies accountable for disregarding the safety and well-being of their employees. Let's remember the way they're treating us so they never make that same mistake again.

@Hertz Are you guys doing anything to care for your employees?? Someone's gotta run those offices, know. And that includes dealing with the general public, thus putting them at risk for infection.
Top recipients of oil & gas industry cash:
Mitt Romney: $7.6M
John Cornyn: $4M
Ted Cruz: $3.6M
Mitch McConnell: $2.5M
Jim Inhofe: $2.1M
Kevin McCarthy: $2M
Wonder why the GOP is ignoring workers but eager to bail out the fossil fuel CEOs 🤔
#PeopleNotPolluters
It's time to change this, for the sake of the millions grocery, pharmacy, and any industry that constantly put their lives at risk. It's time corporations realize we are worth more, we deserve better for working under hazardous conditions just to be able to survive.

We are the ones exposing ourselves to the virus. Many of us are becoming sole sources of income as others in our households lose their jobs.
Rent, bills, food, medications, these are things that refuse to wait for us until we can get back on our feet.
