Later, I was able to meet these 2 mothers who each lost a child to fentanyl and were at the day of remembrance. They have turned their sorrow into warning others of the danger of fentanyl and they shared with me the importance of stronger laws and resources for law enforcement.

Today, I met with survivors and loved ones at Roosevelt Park to celebrate and remember the lives of murder victims. Through the end of July, there were 69 murders in ABQ. The remembrance is always a somber event, as victim families share their grief and frustration.
Talking with survivors at the Day of Remembrance always underscores for me that crime is not a statistic. It’s a human tragedy and the legislature must do more to ensure justice for the loved ones of those murdered.
New Mexico, thank you!!! Thank you to every single individual who took the time to help my campaign, or showed support in any way. Thank you to everyone who showed up to vote. I could have not done this without you. I am so honored and grateful for what we have accomplished.
When you go out to vote tomorrow, remember this. I have stood up and fought for EDUCATORS, VETERANS, ANIMAL RIGHTS, UNIONS, WOMEN, our LANDS and WATER, LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY, NATIVE AMERICANS, FAMILIES, our ENVIRONMENT, WORKERS, and the list continues. My endorsements say it all.
