The problem with Toy Story 4 is it has to go to extreme lengths to justify Woody leaving Bonnie after we just had a film where Woody chooses to stay. Andy gave up Woody because she said "my cowboy" yet Bonnie doesn't care he's gone
And we don't even need to start on Buzz
After rewatching this scene and listening to Woody, I am left wondering if the deeper meaning is— when kids don't need their parents anymore, and the parents feel left behind or unneeded...
Btw, Forky, unexpectedly is such a good listener.
It confuses me so much the whole "I hated 4 but loved 5" narrative pertaining to Toy Story. 5 completely stands by 4's decisions, doubling down.
I'm genuinely convinced most people don't know what they dislike about Toy Story 4 other than "it came after 3".

If Toy Story 5 hits its massive tracking estimates, Pixar is definitely going to want a 6th movie.
We could legitimately be looking at the existence of two Toy Story trilogies.
