Our students need recess, unstructured play, physical education, all the Arts, and their extracurricular activities! That's how we make their social/emotional health a priority.
The Gates Foundation invested nearly $600 million in a national effort to improve teacher evaluation systems, using student test scores, observations, and surveys to measure teacher effectiveness.
After years of research, RAND found that the initiative did not lead to significant gains in student achievement or teacher quality.
If nearly $600 million couldn’t make test-based evaluations work, maybe it’s time to admit the problem isn’t the teachers.

We’re Grateful—Because This Race Was Never About Us. It Was About YOU.
As this campaign journey nears its final stretch, T’liza Kiel and I are filled with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received. From day one, this race was never about titles or recognition—it has always been about you: our community, our families, and every single child who walks through the schoolhouse doors with hopes, needs, and dreams.
This campaign has been rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to a high-quality education tailored to their unique potential. It has also been about you, the voter—who should be engaged not just during elections or bond campaigns, but consistently and meaningfully in shaping the highest-performing school district in Texas.
Today is your day. The polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and your vote truly matters. YOU can be the difference we’ve all been working toward.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us. Let’s finish strong—for our kids, our schools, and our future.
