Y1LM shared their learning about inspirational people through history; their class assembly was packed with fabulous facts, positive words of affirmation and reinforced the school values of kindness, courage, appreciation, honesty and respect. A fantastic start to the day Y!

Children in Reception were roving reporters investigating reports of a spaceship landing at The Elms, after which they impressed parents with their scientific knowledge of space travel, the solar system and class stories linked to friendship. What a super start to the day!

Year 4HS's class assembly had an Egyptian theme with many interesting facts delivered confidently by pupils. Humour, drama and singing brought the topic alive, highlighting just how much the children have learnt. #Gofurther

This morning pupil's welcomed LadBaby as part of their #WorldBookDay school tour.

Mark and Rox shared their latest book, "Greg the Sausage Roll: Lunchbox Superhero" and the children received their own copy of the book to enjoy at home.

A fantastic Y3SY class assembly started the day - finding out all about Viking life, traditions, runes and hearing an impressive class battle cry! Their Viking Day yesterday also brought learning alive with real artefacts and team activities. #Gofurther

Y5BT's class assembly highlighted the struggles of children during the Victorian times - poor working conditions and lack of education - and how hard this must have been. What a relief to be a pupil at The Elms with the fantastic opportunities on offer! #Gofurther

Children in Y4 loved spending time with their ‘Buddy Class’ in Pre-School. The older children crafted, played and read stories with their younger peers as both sets of children enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to ‘link-up’. #Gofurther

This half term Oh Sew Crafty club have been busy making festive felt decorations! They learned straight stitch, backstitch, cross stitch, and blanket stitch and applied these skills to decorate and assemble their decorations.

Year 6EJ started the day with an energetic class assembly in which they shared their learning about Crime and Punishment through a confident drama performance and super creative writing. #Gofurther

5NB's class Diwali assembly was a true celebration of pupils' learning, with dancing, prayers, rangoli patterns, henna designs and tasty food! What a fabulous start to the day. #Gofurther

Year 3 have enjoyed their trip to Brackenhurst where role play and practical outdoor activities enhanced their learning about life during the Stone Age, bringing their classroom topic alive. #Gofurther

Year 4 have been exploring the historical development of drama and theatre this term. They thoroughly enjoyed using the Trestle Masks as a means of experimenting with exaggerated physicality #GoFurther
