These gigantic mining dumpers are transiting Zimbabwe - perhaps bound for Zambia or DRC. They are branded Barrick, most likely bound for DRC because Barrick has some ops there.
Looks interesting, but also reminds us that extraction from Africa has reached a crescendo. The extraction economy and infrastructure to ship it out is still the same today as it was 100-150 years ago. Nothing much has changed, except the technological efficiency.
We need local value addition and manufacturing. On the continent!
@matigary actually I do know some 'home' economics ..
1/3rd on where you live
1/3rd on your living expenses
1/3rd disposable ..
If you stray from that ratio?
You will end up in trouble ..I learnt that @UBS
@matigary let me tell you what I know about money:
borrow | lend | give away | or spend are the only 4 things you can do with it ..
none of us are guaranteed tomorrow ..much less know what is going to happen
if it looks like a duck | quacks like a duck | it is generally not a chicken

@HeadCansa Working for investment banks doesn’t teach you economics. People do different things in banks and having a grasp of economics is not a key requirement
