At CKIS this week we have been finding out about about VE Day and focusing on 'Peace and Friendship'. We have been busy working together to build dens, create music and have enjoyed making healthy smoothies for our friends. We have also been celebrating our own superheros!!

We have enjoyed exploring our space theme at CKIS today! We have been busy building space rockets outside and creating 2D shape pictures. We also enjoyed our picnic lunch outside. Sending love to you all! 🌈

Today we enjoyed going on a word hunt outside. Our hunt led us to find the word 'Spring'. We finished our word hunt with a lovely story together in the sunshine. Happy Easter everyone. Missing you all lots xx

Mrs James has a math challenge for you all. Our 3 children made 4 Easter cakes each. They put 3 eggs on each cake. How many eggs did we use altogether? How many eggs would we have needed if Mrs James made 4 cakes too? Can you show me how you worked out the answer?

We have had lots of fun pond dipping at CKIS. We found newts, but wondered where all of the frogspawn has gone! Has it hatched?

We have been so interested in looking at the frogspawn in our school pond at CKIS. Today we have enjoyed reading 'The Seahorse' by Eric Carle and have been interested to find out about how these sea creatures lay and look after their eggs.

We have enjoyed looking at the frogspawn at CKIS this week and have been keen to complete the challenge set by Mrs Hunt and Mrs Fox to draw our own frog life cycles!

Well CKIS is certainly a little quieter than usual! We are pleased to be offering a service for those parents who are critical workers and are working tirelessly to combat COVID19. Whilst they are helping to protect us all, we are having fun with our wonderful children!
