@Lucy_Spanking@Lucy_noKnickers I’m not a lawyer, Lucy, however this appears to be the proposed law.

LORDS AMENDMENT 265
I wonder if this deputy speaker does private work. I would pay good money for her to shout at me and tell me off. If she had a pair of spectacles she could look over, I would pay double.
@seeking_wisdom7 Toxic people can sap your confidence but remember they are the one with the personality disorder. You’re the one trying to do the right things. Don’t let them try and drag you down to their level.
@seeking_wisdom7 That’s awful. If you did feel you had to leave, you might be able to claim you were forced out (“constructive dismissal”) but you’d need to speak to a solicitor. Afraid I’ve no idea on the visa question.
@seeking_wisdom7 Make sure you keep a note of what was said. In an ideal world, you could make a complaint to HR but reality is usually different. If you keep notes of any inappropriate behaviour, it will be very useful if the situation doesn’t improve and you do need to take action.
@seeking_wisdom7 I should have said, it also says a lot about the inadequacy of the employer/manager if they behave like that, whether or not it’s legal.
