Thanks @BostonGlobe for publishing our CEO's letter: "There can never be enough reporting on violent acts against women...the horror of [Ana Walsh's] situation is on everyone’s mind." https://t.co/zOysKlRgDd
We are grateful for this additional funding to promote health equity throughout our region, bringing medical abortion access to those in "abortion deserts"
Some have called southeastern Mass. an abortion desert, with residents needing to travel to Boston or RI to access care. But with new state funding, a SE Mass nonprofit w/ 7 locations will start offering medication abortion (abortion by pill) in July: https://t.co/EBJuu30dsm
“This is one more service that has been lacking in … sexual reproductive health services in southeastern Massachusetts.” — Julia Kehoe, president and CEO of Health Imperatives https://t.co/erofcZS3sn
Huge thanks to @MassDPH! This award lets us expand health services in support of our mission and close the disparity gap for women who are unable to access medical abortion services elsewhere. Thank you for your partnership and leadership!
Excited to announce that abortion access is coming to the Cape & Islands! All women have a fundamental right to access safe & affordable abortion care. But on the Cape & Islands, women have been forced for years to make expensive trips off-Cape or out of state to access care.
Thank you to our longtime partner @RepDylan for your leadership to advance abortion access! We are so fortunate having reproductive equity champions like you, @JulianCyr, and many more in our region.
Today @HealthImp announced that funding from the state will allow it to provide abortion care at its facilities on the Cape & Islands! We will not waiver in upholding a women’s right to abortion and we will continue to act as a safe haven for women trapped in right-wing states.
We are thrilled to advance health equity and address gaps in abortion access throughout our region. Thank you to @MassDPH for providing this new funding.
