No one really believes this seed oil nonsense, do they?
Focus on nutrition, calories, macros, and micro-nutrients.
Try to base your diet on whole foods.
Ignore the seed-oil idiocy.
"What about intermittent fasting?"
It's a tool. If it helps you stick to a calorie-deficit, use it.
If you don't like it, don't use it.
The problem I have is the grifters that act like fasting and insulin matter more than they do.
"Fruit spikes your insulin, leaving you hungry and making you gain weight."
EVERY food spikes your insulin. Then it goes back down.
Fruit has fiber. Fruit is delicious. Eat fruit.
Weight loss is largely muscle loss.
UNLESS:
- You get ~0.8g of protein per pound of goal weight a day
- You lift weights
Do those things, weight loss is mostly focused on fat.
Things more important than seed oils:
- Getting enough protein
- Getting enough fats
- Getting enough fiber
- Exercising
- Eating fruit/veggies
- Walking
- Getting enough sleep
- Taking a multivitamin
- Lifting weights
- Cardio
- Reading good books
- Spending time with people
If you've nailed all those things, then you can pay attention to seed oils (but it's still a waste of time).
"I eat healthy, I cook all my French fries in beef tallow and only put real sugar in my cake."
May as well only get organic food too to hit the stupid trifecta.
Fat free Greek yogurt = Good
Organic food = expensive and pointless
Avoiding seed oils = waste of time
Lifting weights = Good
Intermittent Fasting = Neutral: if it helps you
Drinking regular soda instead of diet soda = Dumb
