I said this on August 13th. I repeat tonight. No deal is better than a bad deal.
We are not a branch office of the United States. We never have been, and we never will be.
easy roads often lead to dead ends. Let this moment serve as a lesson: Canada must never again allow itself to become overly reliant on any single partner, no matter how close, how powerful, or how longstanding the relationship.
The days, weeks and months ahead will not necessarily be easy. There will be uncertainty. There will be pressure. There will be difficult choices.
But Canada will prevail. And I believe we will emerge from this stronger, more resilient, more self-reliant and more determined to build relationships and markets around the world.
As for our relationship with the United States, perhaps for now we should be careful with words like friends, allies and even partners. Those words carry meaning. They require trust, respect and reciprocity.
What happens next in America is ultimately for the American people to decide in November.
Our responsibility is Canada.
Canada first. Canada last. Canada always. Canada forever. 🇨🇦
The true north so strong and free.
God keep our land glorious and free.
@MarioNawfal My friend @MarioNawfal Ceuta is Moroccan land that was colonized by Spain. If Spain supports Palestinian rights to reclaim their land, shouldn't they do the same for the people of Morocco?
@KanwarSierah I would love an honest explanation from you! Why do you hate French language? What’s the main reason?
It is the second official language of Canada tho? Correct me if I’m wrong

Happy #CanadaDay!
Every citizenship ceremony is a celebration of belonging. As new citizens join the Canadian family, they bring their experiences, talents and stories that help shape our country. Today, we celebrate the people and communities that make Canada home.
