1/2 Yesterday we held an event to launch the Manchester Maze, highlighting the real life stories of people who have experienced the #HousingCrisis in #GreaterManchester. They spoke about the urgent changes needed to end our national shame - The Housing Emergency.

Our project has supported 13 Homeless Health Peer advocates into paid work in the Health and Social Care Sector, ensuring the next generation of professionals are those with lived experience of health inequalities #HealthNowGM @NHS_GM @NHSuk@Shelter@ShelterGM @ItsGroundswell
Our project has directly supported hundreds of health interventions, increased health appointment attendance for those experiencing homelessness and delivered peer-led community care in 4 drop-in sites across Manchester.

I can't speak highly enough of #HealthNow. They provide vital support for people experiencing homelessness to take control of their health journey, offering the peer advocates who deliver the service personalised training and development to achieve their goals.
In partnership with @ItsGroundswell and @crisis_uk, #HealthNowGM contributed to the publication of 'Knowing Where to Turn'. This peer led piece explores stigma and the difficulty in accessing mental health health support while experiencing homelessness.

Our Peer-led research takes a look at homeless health inequalities in Greater Manchester. 5 of our Peer Researchers conducted 51 semi-structured interviews with people experiencing homelessness in GM.

#HealthNowGM follows @NICEComms guidance on the support of peers to deliver services effectively and maintain their own wellbeing and development by providing supervision, training and progression support.
We offer a full range of support to our Homeless Health Peer Advocates. This includes personalised training and development plans and a funded volunteer bursary to support volunteers to achieve their personal and professional goals. #HealthNowGM
