Today’s updates focused on refining both visual presentation and system behaviour. It's all about making Health Buddy AI not just smarter, but smoother.

📱 UI Polishing for Visual Consistency

Adjusted Progress screen padding on the sides and bottom for improved layout balance — creating a cleaner, more user-friendly visual structure.

Designed the new Activity Ledger screen for the Rewards module — this will serve as the central view for tracking user actions and points over time.

⚙️ Backend-Powered UI Enhancements

The Progress Module now pulls live data via API for both Daily and Weekly views — ensuring that users see accurate, real-time performance metrics.

Reward data is now fully integrated into the frontend — real-time sync between API and UI ensures earned points appear instantly, without reloads.

📸 Smart Permissions Handling

If a user denies camera or gallery access while editing their profile, the app now detects the restriction and displays an alert with a redirect to the Settings screen — removing guesswork from the user journey

🐞 Bug Fixes for Flow & Consistency

Meal Log Description: Text is now centre-aligned even when it contains only a few lines. This resolves a previously awkward layout issue.

Edit Meal Flow: After a meal is updated, users are now redirected to the Meal Details screen rather than the full listing. In turn, this makes the UX feel more direct and intuitive.

Every screen, every edge case — we’re refining it all. Because Health Buddy AI isn’t just about tracking wellness — it’s about creating an experience that feels rewarding with every interaction.

📬 Sign-up Flow

Added an email verification popup that appears after successful registration — giving users clear confirmation and supporting a more secure onboarding flow.

🧬 Profile API Integration & UX Enhancements

Get Profile API now connects directly to the app, enabling persistent login so users stay signed in across sessions.

Profile screen now displays up-to-date user data in real time.

If no profile image is uploaded, we now generate a placeholder avatar using the user's name — a small but polished fallback.

In Edit Profile, we’ve added field validation and fully integrated the Update Profile API, making edits smooth and reliable.

📂 Meal Log APIs

Implemented the Meal Category API to organise logged meals by type

Rolled out Meal Search API to allow users to quickly find and select food items

The Add Meal functionality is actively being built, completing the meal logging workflow.

Admins can now create & update Rewards and Badges via integrated API and UI

New controls added to activate/deactivate users, ensuring moderation tools are in place

Admins can manage meal categories and update the About Us, Privacy Policy, and Terms content directly through the panel

✅ Meal list now auto-refreshes when a new meal is added (was static before)

✅ Tabs now switch automatically based on the selected meal type — no more manual navigation

✅ Meal details are now structured: Nutrition info and Description shown in clear, separate sections

✅ A new “Read more/less” toggle added to long descriptions, styled in red for clarity and consistency

Fixes & Quality Improvements

🛠️ Meal deletion bug resolved — users can now reliably remove entries

🛠️ Strong password validation message now displays fully during signup

🛠️ Description input field now accepts line breaks (previously restricted)
