A few helpful dos & don'ts for reaching out to candidates via the HealthyPeople database.
Remember: recruiting is kind of like dating. You need to show what you can offer them, too!
Can you guess?
According to MyProtein, it's Byron Bay!
Men's Health says: "The list takes into account the number of gyms per 1,000 people, the number of fitness searches on Google, and a whole lot of other data to score every city in the nation out of 100."
Comment below!
Access to the database is a valuable option for finding staff, but it requires a change in your recruiting approach. Employers must accept that being a passive recipient of candidates has limitations and that active pursuit of candidates is the key to success.

Are you ready for a modern recruitment solution? Let us introduce you to the HealthyPeople database.
By utilising it when filling a role, you’re not restricting yourself to those actively looking, as you can approach candidates who haven’t been active for a few months.

Once identifying candidates, get in touch with them personally – this allows you to connect with more promising candidates than those that just apply for the advertised role. By approaching them directly, you’re not competing with other organisations for their attention.

3. You must build a strong company culture
The way to build great culture is not in words that are written on the wall, but in your actions. You have to make every one of your employees understand that you care about them more than you want them to care about you.

3. The tether
Make your current ad work for the future. By this, we mean if there are great applicants from this ad that didn’t get the role, find a way to keep a connection with them - so when another job comes up in your organisation, you may be able to place them there.

2. The catch
Once they apply, it is important to make a connection. This doesn’t mean you must have a phone convo, but something like an autoresponder to welcome them to the process increases the chance of them waiting until they’ve heard from you before making decisions.
