In general, you should always be focused on one avatar at a time ONLY.
Then, you solve ONE problem for them.
Then, you figure out a few different reasons WHY they want to get rid of that problem.
Spend more time with kids?
Keep their job and financial security?
Avoid life altering surgery?
These become the desires.
Always always always focus on one avatar and knowing as MUCH as you possibly can about them.
PSA for Shopify Payments users:
Your chargeback rate may look higher as of yesterday. Don't panic.
Shopify changed their frontend display to include RDR-covered disputes.
But here's what matters: the backend risk metric is unchanged.
As of today they are still sending the post-RDR dispute rate in risk-related notifications and presumably using this for risk decisioning.
This has been further confirmed by Shopify support.
Ethoca/CDRN alerts remain hidden from the chargeback rate.
Chargeback alerts are still the best tool to reduce your likelihood of reserves or terminations.
70% of ecom subs will churn within 90 days and it has nothing to do with your product
The subscription model is completely fucked for most ecom brands and nobody wants to talk about why
they launch subs, get decent attach rate month one, then watch 70% churn within 90 days
everyone blames the product. blames the customer. blames the economy
nah bro you just built it wrong from the start
first off you're giving the same discount to everyone. "subscribe and save 15%" sounds good until you realize you're subsidizing people who would've paid full price anyway
smart brands tier it. 20% off first order to get them in, 15% for orders 2-4 while building the habit, 10% after that because they're locked in. you're rewarding loyalty not subsidizing trial
second thing is this fixed billing regardless of consumption nonsense. monthly billing on the same date no matter what is how you get angry customers and chargebacks. if someone orders a 30-day supply and you bill them day 28 before they've finished you're creating friction for no reason
some brands let customers set their own schedule. sounds dumb but churn drops 40%+ because you're not forcing product on people who don't need it yet
third problem is you have zero reactivation system. subscriber cancels, you send one "we miss you" email, they don't respond, you forget they exist
the reactivation window is 90 days. after that they're basically cold again
day 7 after cancel you should be asking why. day 14 offer to pause instead. day 30 win-back discount. day 60 last chance sequence. most brands do literally none of this and treat cancellation like it's permanent when 15-20% would come back if you just asked
and fourth... you built the whole thing on Recharge or native Shopify which means you're cooked if anything goes wrong
Shopify owns your subscriber data. they freeze you or ban you, you lose everything overnight. all those subs you spent money acquiring? gone
this is literally why Apptics built subscription software as a separate layer. you keep Shopify for the storefront, own everything underneath. sounds paranoid until you watch someone lose 2,000 subscribers to a "compliance concern"
🚨META ADS PERFORMANCE DIP🚨
EVERYONES performance has dropped severely after the 6th due to a new iOS update
only 20-25% of the people clicking your ad are actually making it to your site
you can check with this column here:
every camp 97%+ - my most recent is only 30%.
It took me 1 month in ecom to hit 1k day
It took me 2 years in ecom to hit 10k day
It took me 4 years in ecom to hit 50k day
Made my first youtube video breaking down each step
So you don't have to overthink what to do & what not
Show some love :))

❗️Shopify is playing pranks on its merchants again.
It's automatically limiting the data it shares back via ANY of your pixels, including the one from Meta, which means your ads won't be able to optimize efficiently.
To prevent that...
Go to Customer events (search for it in the search bar at the top).
Then switch every value in the data column to Always on.
Do this on all your stores now.
How to run Meta ads with one campaign.
Start with a CBO campaign.
→ Launch one ad set to house your proven winners
→ Every week, launch a new ad set for that week's creative tests
→ Set a min spend limit that's 4x your average CPA to keep the new ads properly tested
→ When you find a new winner, post ID it to the main scaling ad set
What to expect:
→ Meta will miss winners sometimes.
That's okay - you're signing up for the "I trust Meta" mindset by using one campaign. Which means that you trust that the ads Meta chooses to spend on are the right ones.
Just make sure you're doing your best to get some spend into each week's new ads.
I can pretty much guarantee you’ll be profitable on meta if you just sit down and write 20-30 HIGHLY detailed, tangible, specific problems someone could solve with your product/ service and launch 1-2 ads for each one.
If you’re not preloading Q1 budgets in your spend tiers by Dec 27, you’re losing CPM advantage.
Meta rewards predictable pacing, not panic scaling in Week 1.
