Warm welcome from @BAAudiology Scotland at their 'Audiology Care Beyond Hearing Aids' conference. Delighted to be able to showcase how our fab @VolTeamHDogs peer support volunteers deliver our @HearingDogs@HearingLink Services and make a difference for so many..
Today marks the start of #VolunteersWeek and we simply wouldn’t be able to train as many hearing dogs, or help as many deaf people as we do, if it wasn’t for our volunteers.
We asked a few people whose lives have been changed if they would like to say a few words ❤️
Our wonderful dogs had a special mission last week, as they visited @UniOfYork to help students de-stress during exam season.
Seven hearing dogs, ambassador dogs and puppies-in-training had a lovely time with the students, who are currently revising for, or sitting their exams.

This #WorldHearingDay Emily shares how hearing dog Marcus helps her feel safe.
"When you have hearing loss, it’s always at the back of your mind that one day you might not hear a fire alarm and that could be a life-or-death situation. Now I know Marcus will alert me to it.” 🐕🦺
Hi. In April, I'll be running the London Marathon to funraise for Hearing Dogs For Deaf People. They are an awesome charity who do so much great work. Donations of any size will be really appreciated, as will any retweets!

Struggling with hearing loss at work?
I've been there. Following my sudden hearing loss and subsequent diagnoses, returning to work was tough. Looking back, I wish I had pushed for more accommodations.
