Stop trying to find happiness outside of you. It is in there, no one else and nothing external can make it happen. They can help, but eventually it’s all on you.
@serenab_@itsmymatepaddy @notsosavvydater Moral, emotional, superficial, non-superficial they are all part of the package. Some you won’t compromise on, others you will. No point engaging though - have a good day.
@serenab_@itsmymatepaddy @notsosavvydater I disagree. That is part of standards. Being in abusive or unhealthy relationship or with someone you aren’t into, is not lowering standards. That’s just lack of self-respect.
@clumsyoaf33 I wasn’t suggesting to be in an unhealthy relationship state. That’s just not normal to me. Like never happened, and never will let it happen
@clumsyoaf33 That I agree with. There’s a jerk, nobody should be with a jerk. Then there’s the fiction vs reality. Simply put a 3 aiming for a 10 is highly unlikely. As a 3 faces multiple rejections, he/she has to come down to Earth to move forward.
@KristyDyson Exactly. There’s the perfect person in our minds and there’s the reality of what we can achieve. A 3 aiming for a 10 ain’t gonna happen. You realise that more and more as you get older or experience rejections from the 10s
@clumsyoaf33 What is settle? There is a human in our minds that we want to date. Then there’s the reality of our reach i-e the best we can realistically be with. That reach is what you realise over time...
Every bumble profile looks like the girl just walked out of runway, climbed Everest, jumped off in Lamborghini, went swimming in Bahamas in her yacht, all while building the next Goldman Sachs and somehow ended up single in Greater London. Where the regular women at?
@haribotweets What you are referring to are not standards IMO. That’s just normal, common decency. Something that should just be a given in any relationship
