Tomorrow, over 750,000 Oregonians will not receive their SNAP benefits for November.
The sad reality is that Trump could fully fund SNAP through November if he wanted to. Instead, he is refusing to release these funds to feed families in every community across our country.
Hear from me 👇
@RepSalinas We need more than just some money to food banks... There aren't enough food banks around to help everyone who needs it, especially when most only allow one visit a month.... Money needs to be routed from projects that can wait a few months to a year and put to snap funding....
It’s been 29 DAYS of the Republican shutdown.
My Republican colleagues are GLAMPING while @HouseDemocrats are ready to get back to work to lower your cost of living.
If Republicans do not act, health care premiums will skyrocket for countless Americans across the country, including in #OR06.
Republicans have created a full blown health care crisis, including for one of my residents, Sue from Salem.

Today is National Immigrants Day.
As the daughter of an immigrant, I’m proud to honor the diverse cultures, rich histories, and extraordinary contributions that they have brought to this nation.
I will not stand idly by while our immigrant communities are under attack from an administration that has little regard for our country’s values, history, and rule of law.
Republicans' cuts to health care and the rising cost of living are forcing women out of the workforce.
Women are an essential part of our health care system — making up 87% of home health aides.
Republicans created this crisis, and they need to act now to fix it.
Trump is withholding funding for SNAP and forcing families to go hungry.
There is $3 billion in SNAP's emergency funds to cover benefits for November, but Trump won’t use it to feed seniors, children, and veterans.
Trump is saying there’s money to bail out Argentina, but there’s no money for you.
Today is National First Responders Day. As the daughter of a police officer, I want to thank the countless brave heroes who have answered the call to service. In Congress, I will continue to ensure that our first responders have the resources & support they need to keep our communities safe.
I joined @RonWyden in signing an Amicus Brief to challenge Trump’s decision to impose sweeping tariffs, which are reckless & unconstitutional. His tariffs have driven up prices, hurt Americans, & eroded the Constitution’s separation of powers.
Federal courts have already confirmed that President Trump’s attempt to impose tariffs is unlawful, and now it’s time for the Supreme Court to do the same.

Countless families across the country cannot afford to pay nearly double each MONTH in premium costs.
That means many of our neighbors will be forced to make the impossible decision of foregoing insurance altogether.
Republicans need to get back to work to fix their health care crisis.

The Trump admin’s @USDA confirmed SNAP has multi-year contingency funding to "continue operations during a Federal Government shutdown." They’ve since scrubbed that memo.
Convenient timing to manufacture a crisis around food assistance while they hold the government hostage.
Republicans should be at the negotiating table working to reopen the government. If they keep the government shut down until November 1, SNAP benefits will run out. More than 42 Million Americans will be impacted including veterans and seniors.
States are already notifying families that SNAP benefits will not be available for November.
Republicans will be leaving families who rely on SNAP in the dark with no solution on how they will put dinner on the table.
