Hi friends! Thank you for your many kind words & support! If you’ve given blood, what inspired you to do it?
It was a difficult, eventful birth. In the end, Ava was delivered by C-section. We’ve both been admitted & she is currently in the NICU, but stable. It’s heartbreaking, but we gave her fabric squares with my scent on them to calm her, as I can’t walk down. Tom’s been a superhero!

Ava is coming even earlier than we expected! Induction starts NOW due to high blood pressure.
I’m both elated & mildly terrified. But we live in an age of miracles, so no matter what happens, she’ll be fine. We’ve got care pregnant pioneer women would’ve shanked Big Foot for.

Looooong day at the OB, but with great results! They did more tests, including another ultrasound, to make sure ICP isn’t harming the little lady.
She’s a tough cookie—scored 8/8 on her movement test! Her heart’s strong, growth rate perfect. She’s already unstoppable!
I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet, guys! At night I’m only able to sleep for an hour or so at a time, & I’ve been having a lot of trouble staying awake during the day.
Baby continues to be a firecracker! Last week she balled up her fist & punched the ultrasound probe for poking her!
Oh my goodness! It’s difficult to find the words to properly express how we feel right now! Words are what we do, but I can’t remember feeling less eloquent. We are completely STUNNED by the support we’ve received, and over such a short time!Thank you!!!!

👎 New/worsening symptoms continue after today’s infusions
👍 Not a real mystery. My care team suspects the cause is a liver disease called ICP. We’ll know more tomorrow
👎 It’s scary for the baby
👍 It’s treatable! GET TESTED NOW & BIWEEKLY if you experience the following:
👎 I’m feeling quite a bit worse, and probably won’t be able to do anything but rest today.
👍 I have more infusions at the hospital tomorrow, and they always help!
👍 Firecracker Baby continues to be active and healthy!
