Some art can only be created in a fleeting window of opportunity, and once you pass it, it's gone. Looking back, at Interface today, there is no way I could complete that as the person I am now. I'm a fundamentally different person. And some of the ideas in that film, such as not becoming consumed, or enslaved by a computer, I've integrated into my life.

When I made that film, ironically I was consumed by a computer, working 10+ hrs a day, and often to the detriment of my social, mental and personal relationships. I have changed. Not better or worse. But different, and it's hard to accept as an artist that those antisocial traits, can be as much a blessing as a curse.

And they aren't always going to be there, especially if you decide to integrate some of the ideas you were grappeling with in the subconscious that allowed you to create the work in the first place.

Art resolves the subconscious, and if successful it can change you, and it has changed me.

I find it odd this whole debate on the validity of skeleton combiners seems to come down to whether the leg robots are on the front or back bc a) it doesn’t change the core engineering solution at play & b) it’s obvious why Menasor & Superion had them on the back (like it or not)
