This is sad, sad news! Julian Bream was such an inspiration to so many. I am lucky to have the legacy of this maestro in my life every single day through the playing of William Hudd, for whom Bream was and remains the ultimate inspiration. Thank you Mr Bream. Rip
The Birmingham Society of Arts gallery built on New Street in 1829 is another lost museum for #MuseumsUnlocked. However, the Society remains as the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists RBSA @rbsagallery and has a gallery in the Jewellery Quarter. Always worth a visit!
12th August Discover the Birmingham Catacombs evening walking tour. We visit the tomb of the Arch Druid George Manley whose tomb looks like standing stones.
Let's explore Birmingham together #Catacombs#walkingtour#Birmingham#JewelleryQuarter#history
This is urgent, @OliverDowden.
Our theatres, music venues & performing arts companies are on the brink of ruin.
We need them to survive. They need urgent investment and clear plans from government.
Please, act now #ForTheArts.

@bbcsomerset@KeepBritainTidy@richardpayne94 It's worse than bad everywhere!
@JuliaBradbury is right when she says it is a societal issue.
@HighwaysEngland Volunteer groups and individuals do their best locally but are fighting a losing battle. Govmnt don't care, prob low on priority list at the moment.

@JuliaBradbury@Emmabarnett@bbc5live@HighwaysWMIDS @HighwaysEngland @KeepBritainTidy I have written to my MP in an effort to have the matter brought to the commons but I get the standard reply "everyone is responsible for not littering". Preaching to the converted! We need deposit scheme for cans and bottles, which would go a long way to reducing the volume.
