Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.
I’ve lived during ten different decades in America. The economy comes and goes, is up, is down.
But our fundamental freedoms? When those slip, it leads to very dark places. To Jim Crow. To internment.
Vote to protect your freedoms. Or they will be taken from you.
@NickAdamsinUSA You're just wrong.
First, trigger laws took effect immediately after SCOTUS overturned of Roe. Abortion was immediately outlawed in those states.
Second, it gives the power to the states to do what, Nick?
To... say it with me Nick...
I said to my wife "Do you think anyone will commit suicide because they could not get an abortion?"
She instantly replied "yes."
Then she added "there will be all those boyfriends and husbands that murder them because they couldn't get one too" and that shook my fucking world.
It says a lot when ANOTHER religion is suing for religious freedom because this infringes on that right. Hence, this overturning is based on RELIGION. Separation of church and state!
