@Boobaloosh I used to live around the corner from there. I first saw the rats on my daily walks during lockdown in 2020 - they would run out from the bushes next to the footpath. We once saw around 5-6 at once. They were a problem long before the Costa was built there. Awful!

Enforcing untrue speech only works up to the point at which someone says, "no, I'm not going to do that".
At that point a bullying state has to resort to punishment, as is now the case in Australia.
That awakens the people to the evident unfairness.
We will see what happens next.
