2024 Sports in Kansas 8M-I Offensive Player of the Year

Duncan Bell, Hoxie, QB Sr.

Bell had 1585 passing yards with 26 passing touchdowns along with 552 rushing yards and 12 rushing TDs. All stats were in limited time due to blowouts as the Indians finished unbeaten in 8M-I as state champions for the first time since 2017. Career Stats: 3,352 passing yards, 60.6% completion, 50 passing TDs, 11 INT, 1,319 rushing yards, 33 rushing TDS. In wrestling for the highly regarded Hoxie program, he is 113-22, 3x State qualifier, 1x 3rd Place, 1x State Champion at 157 lbs. #sportsinkansas

2024 Sports in Kansas 8M-I Defensive Player of the Year

Easton Nickelson, Hoxie, LB Sr.

Nickelson had an incredible year for the 8M-I state champions under head coach Lance Baar as he registered a mind blowing 182 tackles on the best 8M-I team in the state as they finished 13-0. He also had 4 fumble recoveries, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions. Nickelson had 327 career tackles at Hoxie. He has played both middle linebacker and defensive line in his career. He finished third last year in 3-2-1A state wrestling at 165 pounds as Hoxie won the team title.
