@JanethNunezdelP @kdurquiza@MarkedByCovid Me too. I still txt him. All of this could have been avoided. I’d give anything for 5 minutes w daddy. Just to hear his voice and see his goofy smirk. May God bless and keep them.
@missinmycomfort @SurvivorsChange I watched it 2x. Gave me a very different perspective of what it was like vs what I thought it was like to be in the “war zone”. Captivating documentary.
@FacesOfCOVID Vaccination status should not demean the value of a life. Just like it does not matter if someone had a pre existing condition and died from COVID. Regardless of the why, those left behind are grieving.
@DrVanessaWalker@dkcchatman Thank you for facilitating those conversations w your patients’ families. It is important for families to have a true understanding of what a DNR and life support really mean. It’s not like what we see on TV shows.
@missinmycomfort It is sad that it took COVID for us to see each other. It has opened my eyes and perspective to the ways we are all interconnected as a global community. Our district has a grant and has offered the resource for years. I am grateful it is available. So many kids need it.
@missinmycomfort @SurvivorsChange Yes. It’s not like you go through one stage and never go back. The only one that I haven’t had after the first few weeks is the numbness. I didn’t understand what it even was until talking to it w a professional. I think that was the worst to be honest.
@dkcchatman I am walking with you. My time (virtually bc of COVID restrictions) with my dad at the end of his journey was sacred. I pray you and your family find comfort and solace during this extremely difficult time.
@Participant@inamericaflags@sbfirstenberg The flags waving in the wind is like watching our loved ones celebrating their lives being honored at a national and global scale. It’s breathtaking.
@missinmycomfort @SurvivorsChange Our meeting last Thanksgiving eve and empty chair platform helped me tremendously. Knowing you are not alone and what you’re experiencing in your loss helps. Grief doesn’t end. It ebbs and flows. We are forever changed and important to use that change in a positive way.
@missinmycomfort Our school has a group for kids who have experienced loss. Open and honest communication and letting them see it’s ok that I’m still sad after 17 months. Creating rituals to celebrate my dad’s legacy. Keeping him alive talking about him and telling stories. #notjustanumber
@URISA@inamericaflags@GISCorps Thank you for what you are all doing. My family appreciates you. And my father would also thank you for your time and service.
@ItsTomLove @zahmatter @theirfanator@BNODesk There are a lot of studies showing small #s. However, it is spreading throughout our unvax peds population, many are ineligible or don’t have access. Covid is a wildcard. We need to do our part to protect our future. Wear a mask. You can spread covid w/out one, even w the vax.
