Let’s do a breakdown of the symbolism in just this one photo, shall we?

♟️ Black & white checkered floor : the Masonic mosaic pavement, traditionally representing the dualities of human existence: light/dark, good/evil, joy/sorrow, material/spiritual.

🌹 Red roses : associated across Christian and esoteric traditions with divine love, blood, sacrifice, secrecy and spiritual unfolding. They also complement the imagery historically associated with Mary Magdalene.

Within esoteric symbolism, the rose is symbolic of mystery, hidden wisdom and spiritual unfolding. Even the old phrase ‘sub rosa’ or “under the rose” came to signify secrecy or confidentiality.
