Hi @SouthwestAir! A little frustrated that most of the front of my brand new suitcase was ripped off on my flight from MIA to MCI today but the baggage office says that’s not on them.
This young lady’s Girl Scout Gold Star project made banned books freely available - the county GS board censored her commendation for it. @TheBloggess@levarburton https://t.co/VYscfiWLip
Come support community theater this weekend! Opening night is Friday, runs next weekend, too. Take in a great show and a delicious meal at Thelma Moore Community Playhouse in Garnett, KS. ❤️
Just finished crying through the Ted Lasso finale. Now… can someone please tell me how to get arms like @hanwaddingham? I would literally never wear sleeves.
Last week Marjorie Taylor Greene said that an adopted mother is "not a mother," and implied that they are not real moms.
Former RNC Chair Michael Steele has something to say about this. Steele said that Greene's comments really impacted him on a personal level:
“It just struck such a raw nerve for me as an adopted child to think that Marjorie Taylor Greene could look at my mother and say she’s not a mother,” Steele said. “Motherhood is something that comes from the heart. It’s something you do. It’s an expression of love.”
MTG's comments really angered be as someone with adopted family members. Adoptive parents care for and love their children just as much biological parents.
Why on earth would a congresswoman imply that adoptive parents shouldn't have as much of a say in their children's lives?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
@steveberklund Last time I went to the K-State/KU game in Lawrence, I cheered for the KU seniors on senior day because hardly anyone was. Then the men sitting behind me shouted at me about being a welfare queen (which, why??) for the rest of the game. They’re honestly the worst.
@scottwildcat I loved Klein so much as QB that my son (born in the 2011 football season) is named Collin, so…. that probably settles my top pick. Bishop is high up there, as well.
@meganromer I agree. Kansas created a new scholarship program where specific high-demand career programs at community colleges are tuition-free. Nursing included. You have to agree to work in KS for 2 years after graduation.
