Once farmland is gone - it is gone forever - grateful to see the @globeandmail editorial addressing the green belt sale again today - #greenbelt#ontario
🗣: "We grew up together from the ages of 7-8 years old back in Canada dreaming about being on this stage winning these types of matches, winning the Davis Cup"

Is this government listening? Thousands of Ontarians have spoken and called for major amendments to be made to #Bill23. Paving over our #greenbelt threatens our water, air quality, and will raise the cost food — making it harder for Ontarians to put food on the table. #onpoli

The Nursing staffing system in Ontario is broken.
ONA pay scale vs. the $110/h private agencies charge hospitals to fill RN vacancies
Hospitals are paying 2-3x more for a transient workforce
To save money and create a sustainable system, appropriately compensate full time work
We are still admitting covid patients into our ICUs. For those who act like covid is over, it's not. I keep seeing young adults who end up infecting their loved ones. They cry, express regrets but it's often too late. While you can, do the right thing. Tears will not save lives.
Give new life to used items! Leave unwanted, reusable items on your property next to the sidewalk or curb for neighbours to take today. You can also pick up items that you need. #SecondhandSundayTO https://t.co/xd5888l7w4
Toronto has an abundance of fruit growing in backyards and public spaces all across the city, and @NFFTT is helping to not just harvest the produce, but share it with those who need it most. @ourtorontoCBC’s @mtaruc spoke with people who pick and share the urban bounty.
To date, more than 51M doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Canada, with over 1M doses given from Aug 1-7. Let’s keep going! Getting fully vaccinated gives you your best protection against #COVID19!

Tonight I was humbled to speak about my grandma Joan Perry on Global News Radio. She was a survivor and an inspiration. Thankyou @charlesadler@globalnews for the time to share. https://t.co/KTFVsz1Cvc
While it's unlikely kids will return to in-class instruction this school year, we need to plan ahead.
Labour day is just over 4 months away.
For teachers/staff to be fully vaccinated when class resumes in September, they need their 1st shot in the next 2.5 weeks.
This has been an extremely upsetting and eventful day at @MGHToronto. We are about to go through what Italy & New York went through a year ago. I can’t believe we are at this place in Ontario today. Neither of those places had warning. We had one full year to prevent this.
Last night in the ICU:
15 patients
12 vents
12 #COVID
2 proned
1 dialysis
Standard ICU RN complement for this patient load: 14
ICU RNs available: 7
Ontario's ICUs need trained reinforcements.
There are 13 #COVID ICU patients in all of Atlantic Canada....a success story and testament to a bold and effective public health strategy.
There are 19 hospitals in Ontario with >=13 #COVID patients in their ICU.
We need help.
