He's 80 years old, but can STILL fill the O2 Arena.

But Barry isn't just a 'one trick pony'. He's a well-read, intelligent guy.
He wrote a musical called 'Harmony', about a Jewish musical group in Berlin, just prior to Nazi Germany.

Barry's fanbase are a 'civilised' bunch, who enjoy melodic songs and romantic ballads.

@DavidAHoward I just thought I'd give you a spot of 'feedback' on my seeing Barry Manilow at the O2 last night. Firstly, I thoroughly enjoyed it. He primarily performed his 'old' songs - the ones that made him 'beloved' during the 70s, 80s & 90s. (I swayed and sang along.)

I bought my FIRST vinyl Barry Manilow album with my baby-sitting money when I was 16. And I've seen him in concert 6 or 7 times - from Wembley Arena, to the Royal Albert Hall, to the O2.
But sadly, NOTHING lasts forever. Does it.

Barry Manilow has always been a tall, thin person & not exactly 'robust' in stature. Unfortunately THAT kind of physique can 'backfire' in older- age.
He looks quite 'frail'.
