Do you have things you always say when delivering bad news?
Mine:
"We might not have all the answers, but here's our plan to get the answers."
"I promise to always be honest when things aren't going well."

In case you didn't make @HeatherNHofmann, Kristen Toups, and my presentation at @ACPIMPhysicians this year, here's an overview: https://t.co/y6cRwaGBrt
TL;DR of my perspective: the SOAP note is fundamentally broken. There is no fixing it ...
@vjvelezmd @YourDocElie SOAP notes are dirty but they could be cleaner. Everyone wins and everyone loses.
Check out our article in @JHospMedicine for more thoughts 🫧 🏆
I'll see everyone tomorrow @ACPIMPhysicians#IM2024 to debate, "Are SOAP Notes Clean or Dirty?" with @HeatherNHofmann and Kristen Toups! It's a follow up to our piece in @JHospMedicine (https://t.co/GFZolLVtAo)
(I think you can imagine where I stand...)
@vjvelezmd @HeatherNHofmann@Mud_Fud did a nice tweet-recap! A phenomenal debate by great opponents & referee, which left us all educated but the question remains 😂
At baseline I’m Team “Reinvent the SOAP note” (WikiNote, and other forms of technology-enabled communication)
