Cheers to bossy girls who were created to be bosses 🥂
In a world telling you to be quiet, you were made to take up space, dream, & shine.
No doubt.

Her secret? 5 daily habits that prevented brain aging: 🧵
Not only have you not tried everything, but you have probably tried almost nothing. Did you try drastically reducing his screen time? Did you try changing his diet and getting all the processed junk out of your house? Did you try drastically reducing your own screen time so that you can interact with him and play games with him and give him something enjoyable and wholesome to focus on? Did you try finding him some kind of sport or outdoor activity that allows him to burn off energy and develop useful skills? Did you try a mandatory 45 minute reading time at night before bed, where all screens are turned off and he sits and reads or you read to him?
Now did you try all of these things for years, because that’s what “trying them” actually means? The answer is no. I know that it’s no, because he’s 7 and you have him on drugs. Don’t even claim you’ve tried everything until you’ve done all of this for years and years. That’s what the job of parenting is.
It blows my mind when I hear from a parent who says they had no choice but to put their 7 year old boy on psychotropic drugs to treat “ADHD.”
“We tried everything,” they always say.
Really? You tried everything? He’s seven. Did you try giving him a chance to grow and mature and come into his own without mind altering drugs? It’s literally impossible that you “tried everything” when he’s still in elementary school. The one thing you didn’t try was giving him time. And that is almost always the solution to any parenting challenge. Keep working with your child, and give him time.
