Word of the Day (because it’s about time) is ‘respair’, from the 16th century. It means fresh hope, and a recovery from despair. One of too many lost positives we could do with bringing back.

Visited my new school today for the first time since being appointed. My deputy and a teacher have resigned, and two have interviews this week. There was also an incident involving a police cordon and an air ambulance… welcome to headship! 🙈

Historic moment for nursing and @theRCN Decision to strike was difficult. However, public support was uplifting, and the feeling of solidarity was massive. Plus we had snow ❄️
