@bob_j Bob, unfortunately there is not a way to safely block off the bathroom facing side of the appliance. You could get a free standing room divider. Please keep in mind that the appliance has a 3 foot clearance in front of it that must be maintained. I hope this helps. Thank you.

@Barbarahaag25 I would suggest to check all wire connections on the battery tray. If all of the connections are good, try a different set of batteries. If the new set of batteries fails to work, I would have to recommend you partner with an authorized dealer in your area.

If you have a remote system, it is possible there is interference in the area that is making the fireplace turn on and off. You can re-sync the remote to the receiver to put it on a new frequency, that should help.
