@Uncut_Kilowatt4 @MarsBlut53 @zenwzd @MaD_MrL Comparing it to the Sturmgewehr 44, the AK-47 designation is essentially the Sturmgewehr 44's early designation of MP43, while AK/Avtomat Kalashnikova is the current actual name of the gun.

@Uncut_Kilowatt4 @MarsBlut53 @zenwzd @MaD_MrL Nobody calls an AK-47 an Avtomat Kalashnikova 47 because it has never been called by that since Late 19-48 to Mid-1949 during the pre-adoption era, ever since then it's been under the designation of AK (hence why the AKM isn't called the AK-47M or AKM-47)
