I think the issue is that as companies try to out-compete each other, they add all these features that are just more things that can fail. I watched a video by an honest reviewer that said the best fridge to buy was the one with the least features. We don't have an ice maker or water, or anything else. Just as basic as you can get. They still make them like that if you look.

@OnlyinFlorida2 Man Publix is expensive. Everything at Target and Walmart is 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper. One example is a pack of hot dogs at Publix is BOGO for $8 but those same hot dogs at Target are $4.
