Hungarian Canadian physician Dr. Gabor Maté survived the Holocaust as an infant. His Jewish grandparents were killed in Auschwitz. After visiting the concentration camp for the first time, Dr. Maté spoke to AJ+ about how it compares with Israel’s forced starvation in Gaza. While he says Auschwitz and Gaza are not a one-to-one comparison, he argues that the “human cruelty, lack of humanity, deliberate suffering imposed on people, the energy of it is the same.”
I enjoyed a blast from the past as I delivered a #beadsoflife session for the wonderful Year 2 TEPs at Newcastle DAppEdPsy. Gorgeous and unique stories, threads and beads. Thank you to all 😍🫶 #twittereps
My new favorite word: sonder.
It's the profound awareness that every person you encounter has experienced a lifetime of hopes, fears, loves, and heartaches that you'll never know.
Each moment of sonder is a reminder to appreciate how little we truly grasp about others' lives.
Having a smile at my lush lanyard gifted by the inspirational Year 3 TEPS. I think they know me well 👏😆 Go well and sprinkle your magic 💫❤️ #twittereps

The best antidote to burnout is not teaching people coping skills to handle stress. It's redesigning work to reduce stress.
The cure for exhaustion is removing overwhelming demands and the norm of self-sacrifice.
Healthy workplaces value well-being as much as performance.
