@AlisaLoosen @Sam_D_Parsons n.b. Cronbach’s alpha is equivalent to one of the ICCk variants. This makes sense because you would use the average score in practice (e.g. a subscale score computed by averaging across items).
@AlisaLoosen @Sam_D_Parsons It makes sense to me to base it on how the measure would be used in practice. If you would run multiple sessions of a task and average them, it makes sense to look at the reliability of the average score. If you would only run the task once, then ICC(2,1) is more appropriate.
Join us today at ➡️ 4:30 for our symposium "Unfolding the Reliability Paradox in attentional-control research" with Alodie Rey-Mermet, @JuliaHaaf, @HedgeCraig and Klaus Oberauer at #ESCoP2022

@AstonPsychology One of the six possible projects is about understanding inhibitory control in different health-related contexts (e.g. alcohol, food), with myself, @drcpennington, and @TunneyRichard
