Just a little reminder: as artists, you don’t have to live up to the image that fans create for you. You are human beings before you are idols, and you deserve the freedom to be yourselves without feeling pressured to become everything that others expect you to be.

It’s okay to build a close, meaningful connection with your fans. It’s okay to make them feel loved, appreciated, and valued. But please remember that an idol fan relationship can be meaningful without having to feel romantic. You don’t have to reciprocate romantic feelings, act as though you’re in love with your fans, or fulfill every emotional need they have just to make them feel special.

You can love and appreciate your fans without making them believe they have a romantic place in your life. You can be warm without making promises, be affectionate without creating expectations, and be grateful without sacrificing your personal boundaries.

You will never be able to please everyone, and that’s okay. Some people may misunderstand you, some may feel disappointed when you don’t meet their expectations, and others may want you to remain the version of yourself they have imagined. But that doesn’t mean you should lose yourself trying to keep everyone happy.

Please allow yourselves to grow, change, explore, and live as individuals beyond the stage. You deserve to have your own thoughts, feelings, relationships, and private lives without feeling guilty for being human.

Be the kind of artists people can admire and be inspired by. Let them love you for your talent, your character, your hard work, your sincerity, and the people you are becoming.... not because they believe they have a romantic claim over you.

You can create a beautiful and genuine bond with ENGENEs while still drawing a clear line between an idol and a fan. Boundaries don’t mean you love your fans any less. They mean you understand that love, admiration, and appreciation can exist without ownership or romantic expectations.

At the end of the day, you don’t owe anyone a version of yourselves that makes them feel romantically loved. You owe yourselves the chance to live authentically, protect your peace, and become the people you truly want to be.

I hope you never feel that you have to lose yourselves to keep the people who love you happy. The right kind of admiration should inspire you to become more of yourselves, not force you to become someone you’re not.

You are allowed to be loved as artists without being expected to act like someone’s romantic partner. You are allowed to love your fans in your own way, with sincerity, gratitude, and healthy boundaries.

Please remember that you are ENHYPEN, but you are also individuals who deserve a life of your own. And I hope the love you receive will always leave room for you to be human. ♡
