It's 2029
You just bought a PS6
It cost 1200 dollars
All games are digital
They each cost 80 dollars
You have 4 in your library
Yesterday it was 5 but Sony removed one
They offered no refund, its just gone
You'd strangle yourself with the controller cord but its wireless

@Variety This is a complete lack of respect for human life and identity. Life is fragile and irreplaceable. Exploiting someone’s image after death like this reduces them to a tool. Loss should remain loss. That’s how we honor its meaning and value of that life.
Hi full time artist here who is going to break down comm prices.
We charge based on what we think is an appropriate hourly wage for us. A skilled artist not only works on your piece, but there is communication, follow up, planning, reference finding, revisions and post production. This is all added to the actual time it takes to draw.
What you don’t see in the price? The countless hours of studying and personal art I do to improve my craft. The money I spend on lessons. The money I spend on software. The money I spend on hardware. The time away from my kids to work. The unpaid time off. The unpaid vacation. The unpaid sick time.
I make anywhere from $15-30 per hour for my work factoring all this in. I can sometimes get as high as $50 but this is for very complicated commission work that requires A LOT of communication and planning.
Artists deserve to put food on their table and a roof over their head. If you can’t afford that - you can find an artist in your budget or draw the art yourself!
Our voice acting strike in Germany still hasn't ended. It's a rough time for all of us.
We just don't want to train AI (especially for free) is that so hard to understand?
The fact that CANCER RESEARCH is crowdsourced by people, fandoms, groups, are donating to this, is testament to the fact that those philanthropic billionaires were lying to you when they were telling you "we care about you poor shits🤣🤪"
Let me explain what this means so that you understand better.
.
Sometimes tiny cells in our stomach get very stubborn and turn into bad guys called cancer. They grow way too fast and don't listen to the body's rules.
.
But you see, these smart scientists in Korea didn't want to fight them with big scary bombs and bazookas like old medicines do. Instead they sat the cells on a wooden bench and said "Look here you stubborn cells, why don't you just remember who you really are and be good again?
.
So they made a pretend computer twin of our belly cells. Just like a magic video game version. (something like that sha) so they played around in the game to find the three bossy switches that were making the cells stay stubborn.
.
.
Those three bossy switches have funny names. They are MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2.
Fantastic 3 lool
.
The scientists turned those three mean switches Off. Poof.
And just like that guess what? The stubborn cancer cells were like "Ohhh… I remember now!
.
Then they calmed down, grew up properly, and turned back into nice, normal belly helper cells. No more bad growing.
They then tried this in Mice, and the poor mice got better. The bad lumps got smaller because the cells stopped being the bullies they were.
It's like telling your barking Dog at home to shusss and calm down. And it actually calms down.
.
.
This isn't ready for humans yet, as it's still developing. But it's going to help out someday. And well, a lot of people are gonna be wayyyy happier.
.
.
.
Kudos to the scientists once again and I'm super happy about this development and the positive impact it's going to have on affected people 💪🏾💪🏾

another concept artist here wanting to say that any designer worth their salt would agree when i say that 50% of creating GREAT designs is the quality of reference gathered and the personal visual library of the artist actually doing the work
using ai generated images in your reference boards to "get an idea" actively hamstrings your ability to explore and iterate actual new, interesting designs because it creates a preconceived end goal in your head and allows no room for deviation and happy accidents to happen
the greatest concept artists ive ever met are people who expose themselves to new things and are truly curious about the world. they spend DAYS collecting high quality, accurate reference and have images of everything you could ever think of under the sun in their personal libraries- fabrics and stitching from so many different cultures, cool rocks, weird plants, interesting architecture, landscapes, art from every time period etc.
do not fall for the "generate ideas" excuse, you are hired as a concept artist first for your great ideas and design sense, not because you can paint the prettiest picture. the last thing many of us want- gamers and artists alike- is for the medium we all love so much to become only derivative slop with the same repackaged visuals and experiences.
reminded, for no particular reason, of that arcane artist who was asked how they texturize a 3D model to look painted in the show and she was like "we paint"
there is no shortcut man. do the work.
