People will judge you for living a reality they’re still struggling to accept within themselves.
I’ve learned that sometimes the loudest judgment doesn’t come from people who can’t relate, it comes from the ones who can. And sometimes people will purposely throw someone else’s identity, situation, or truth into a conversation because it resembles their own. They’re watching the room. Watching the reactions. Listening to what people say about somebody else before they ever feel safe enough to reveal themselves.
Sometimes talking about you is really their way of finding out what people would say about them.
And I understand that more now than I ever did before.
The difference is, I refuse to weaponize somebody else’s life experiences just to make myself feel better about mine. Life gives all of us things we didn’t ask for and things we may not deserve. How you choose to carry it is personal.
You can take something from my story and apply it to your life, or you can judge me for being willing to live mine out loud. But tearing somebody else down because their truth resembles something you haven’t made peace with yet won’t make your own truth disappear.
Some people hide behind judgment. I chose freedom. That’s REBIRTH.
