How do you build a successful business? By earning trust.

Every product, every service, and every interaction should be crafted with one major thing in mind – earning trust.
.
My first business with full-time staff was a salon. This was about 20yrs ago. I had never worked at a salon before building one or owning one. All I knew is that I was great at branding, PR, and had massive determination. Other than that, I was walking in blind. I was in my early 20s and responsible for my future, my team’s payroll, and my clients’ happiness. If the business failed right off the bat, I would lose everything.

Instead of throwing money into marketing, I focused on earning trust on social media (MySpace on dial-up!!). It worked back then and it works now. Have a great product/service, get testimonials, get press, and work on your SEO.
