This weekend I drove my daughter to Florida to begin her first year of med school. It took 2 gap years + another to get her Masters in Medicine. Seeing her achieve this dream due to her own perseverance & belief in herself makes us so proud. She is going to be an amazing doctor!
In April of 2024 (after 4 great years) I resigned from teaching/coaching in Big Lake to pursue a career in admin. When the summer contact period came around in June of 2024 I immediately missed being in a gym. Today I was back in a gym doing what I love at Roseville H.S.

Proud dad moment. My dad passed down his love of education and coaching to me and now it’s fun watching my daughter share our passion with her student/athletes.
As a leader, I discovered that the more I genuinely cared about my staff, the more they cared about our students. By fostering strong relationships and showing compassion, we create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. #FindingyourLeadershipEdge
Hornets with back to back wins over two top 15 @MNHSBB teams that play contrasting styles to start the season. Credit to how “coachable” our kids are both on the practice floor as well the games.
"I feel it’s so important to talk about WHY we expect certain behaviors at school. I made the anchor chart and then we came together and brainstormed examples of when we are expected to be quiet vs talk," third-grade teacher Jenna Monty, who was inspired by @room213tpt, writes.
What would happen if we looked at a student’s off-task behavior through a different lens? How would our response differ if we focused on the emotion that is driving the behavior instead of just the presenting behavior?

A lot of amazing talent in this picture, but what really stood out was how our guys played the right way the entire weekend (made the extra pass, talked on D, were open to suggestions, etc) and allowed each other to show their special talents. Thanks guys for a very fun two days.
