It’s imperative that you have ppl that can be pillars of support…that can handle the WEIGHT of who you are (the good, bad, ugly, pain, grief,
& etc), in the WAIT of who you are trying to become OR what you’re trying to get through!
Things or a series of events in life can cause ppl to isolate. Not bc they don’t want help. Most times it’s bc they don’t want to feel like a burden. Everyone processes things/experiences differently.
Empathy: you’re sorry for what someone is going through, AND can understand/relate.
Sympathy: you’re sorry for what some one is going through.
If you only have sympathy, your opinion about how long it takes for someone to heal is irrelevant.
You can’t be mad at people for how long it takes them to heal from something. Especially when you can’t empathize bc you’ve not shared the same experience.
