This is what well analyzed data shows. A single drug (sugammadex) by itself does not improve respiratory complication rate. Need to bundle interventions: tof-monitoring, low-dose rocuronium and sugammadex, optimal timing of reversal.

In the 2 ob hospitals in Germany I have worked in: either 5 cc of Ropivacain 0.1% with 0.75 micrograms/ml sufentanil or 5 cc of 0.125 % bupivacain with 0.5 micrograms/ml sufentanil. Wait for 2-5 min to r/o spinal effects 👍
