Mijn verzoek om de Kamer terug te roepen van reces voor een plenair debat over de veiligheidssituatie in Ter Apel heeft alleen steun gekregen van @GidiMarkuszower, @henkvermeer en @chrisstoffer.

@geertwilderspvv en @Eerdmans steunen slechts een commissiedebat. Van de overige fractievoorzitters (@rubenbrekelmans @HenriBontenbal @jpaternotte @MonaKeijzer @mirjambikker @jesseklaver @jimmydijk @JanStruijs @Ct_teunissen @StephanvBaarle @DassenLaurens) heb ik überhaupt geen enkele reactie ontvangen.

Daarmee is er geen meerderheid voor mijn verzoek.

De inwoners van Ter Apel – evenals de inwoners rondom tal van asielzoekerscentra in heel Nederland – zitten ondertussen met de gevolgen van de keuzes die worden gemaakt door al die partijen die zich daarvoor weigeren te verantwoorden.

Het is werkelijk schaamteloos.

Het Rode Kruis verleent hulp in oorlogsgebieden als Gaza, Oekraïne en Soedan. Maar in Ter Apel trekken vrijwilligers zich terug omdat ze zich niet meer veilig voelen. Dat zou iedereen aan het denken moeten zetten.
