It’s because they buy fully into the elevation of black culture as some quasi-religious institution. Even things that are objectively ugly, low-effort, and kitschy are assigned Great Importance if they’re visibly “black.”

The reaction is not the same to white low culture. There’s an old greentext about American “worship” of blacks, but I don’t think the economic arguments really get at it; this is a primarily cultural brainworm, one that demands total deference to the lowest of the low — as long as it’s black.
