@jamierkennedy Thank you for the interesting and insightful write ups Jamie. I so enjoyed reading them. I was at The Open from Tuesday to Thursday. One disappointment was the lack of opportunity to stand close to the tee boxes to watch tee shots. Space should’ve been made or platforms erected
@Top100Rick@kmbaert You guys are being disingenuous & are not taking the full picture into account. The change in the wind direction is playing a big part. You are trying to compare bourbon with a whiskey. Also snap shot taken halfway through round 2. Norris finished -1.
@aufan2013@NoLayingUp You don’t know what you are talking about. Just spent three days there. The course is in immaculate condition. It needs to get browner to get even better. Does not look great on TV but it’s amazing to see it in person. Fairways look like most greens.
@Mike_kim714 Great drive off the first with driver (especially after your previous post about how to play the hole). Wish I videoed it for you. Have a great game today.
Hey tantrum Tony. I remember watching you as a youngster at Humewood Golf Club at the Goodyear Classic. You were practising your putting and missed a few 5 foot putts consecutively. You picked up your balls and then proceeded to throw your putter down followed by the balls one by one. All with great force. And stomped up and down. You totally lost it on the practice putting green. I was so disgusted in you as you were the best player but your behaviour was shocking. The image still stays with me 36 years later.
Happy 250 years Unites States of America 🇺🇸
May you grow from strength to strength. The world is better off with a strong USA.
Enjoy the celebrations 🎉🎊
@Fly_Airlink Thank you to Cassandra and her manager Letta for assisting me this morning at OR Tambo check in. I lost my phone and they went above and beyond to assist me. More than just a service level but on a human level. Thank you so much. South Africa at its best ❤️
NEWS: @SpaceX has appointed prominent 🇿🇦 South African-born venture capitalist Roelof Botha to its board of directors.
In its statement, SpaceX cited Botha’s “extensive public company experience along with a deep audit committee background” as vital assets for the newly public entity.
According to a regulatory filing submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Botha was elected as an independent common stock director effective June 16th.
Botha will also join the board’s audit committee, filling an existing vacancy until the aerospace giant’s next annual meeting of shareholders.
The high-profile appointment brings the number of SpaceX board members to 9, placing Botha alongside other tech heavyweights and long-time allies of CEO Elon Musk, incl. SpaceX chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell and Google executive Donald Harrison. Botha will primarily focus on capital protection and financial oversight, while Musk retains his positions as chairman, CEO and chief technologist.
@rorysutherland@nntaleb The same but different. When booking flights for myself and my wife, why can’t I book no checked baggage for me but checked baggage for her and still be on the same reference. Frustrating
@JUDGEJUSTIN777@geordinhl@BigDaddyLiberty@Our_DA I don’t care about Renaldo. I care about a high functioning South Africa where we work better together for a better future. It’s a lot easier to be the opposition than a ruling party and hence I hold the DA to a higher standard.
@M3dInfo@IamLungile_ What Rassie has done is amazing. Give him his due. He comes from a blue collar village. His humility should be praised. Re the best land: any Karoo farmer would love to farm on the fertile land of Transkei or KwaZulu. Mines/Fishing owned by BEE.
The SA 🇿🇦 players are in the most part known for their courtesy and good manners. Unfortunately Garrick has dropped the ball. Besides not taking responsibility for his actions, this week he lacked good gentlemanly behaviour and manners. Staying seated while shaking the rule officials hand was poor. Stand up to shake another persons hand and own up to your mistake. Lack of humility and too much arrogance.
In South Africa ( often leading in great ideas) you get the option to “sky check” your carry on bag. It’s great. As you about to board you had your bag to ground crew. Receive a tag. When you land as you disembark the plane your bag is waiting for you. Great for the larger carry on bags and frees up space in the cabin.
