But let there be gossip, a celebrity scandal, or news of a marriage crashing, and suddenly everyone has an opinion. It trends for days while real issues affecting people’s lives are ignored.

Some of the same people speaking up about the Oyo kidnappings today have looked away when similar tragedies happened in their own backyard.
