@MaiaDunphy I had a hip replacement 5 weeks ago, in a private hospital. Pre-op letter said if you have crutches bring them. Everyone thought I was wasting my time. A friend had a pair, I brought those, physio checked them and away I went no issue.

Really good podcast called No scrubs, where two doctors who are on GLP1 drugs discuss the topic. One of the docs, Dr Niamh Lynch has also written a Substack on the topic.

@DavidMcredmond There's a number of retail properties on Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork with apartments overhead. More than you realise until the lights go on. These particular properties work because there's a separate entrance to the one used by the retail business. Few enough of these.

@HelenORahilly Mikey Ryan’s in Cashel, owned by Cashel palace, not much of a detour. To go up a notch Bramley in Abbeyleix. While there Cush in Ballycotton is very good, lovely cliff walk too. Fota gardens a nice spot and the house has reopened. Frank Hedermans smoke house on Cobh Road.
